Student News Live is a non-partisan news hub created to amplify the voices of student journalists by delivering impactful coverage of major news events – including the upcoming national election.
All content will be created by the students, for all. We are grateful for Marshall University and William Paterson University for coordinating the 24 hours of live coverage for 2024.
Our Plan:
• Collaborate with campus media outlets and organizations to create a groundbreaking live election broadcasts, orchestrated by students
• Organize town halls with key figures about major issues of the day
• Empower students from campus newspapers, TV and radio stations, and podcasts, to take the lead as analysts, reporters, writers, and producers
• Bring the pulse of America’s youth directly to our audience.
Our Reach:
Student News Live will provide a platform for student journalists and transform how their voices are heard in the media landscape.
At Student News Live, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where diverse voices, perspectives, and experiences are not only welcomed but celebrated. We strive to create a platform that reflects the rich diversity of our communities, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to contribute and thrive.
Our content will stream across individual campus media sites and our dedicated website and social media channels, to reach audiences through mainstream networks and streaming platforms.
We’re seeking collaboration with other journalism and college media groups to join our Student News Live coalition. Membership is free.
